The rest of the story is about Tim's "crisis" because he is convinced that he has killed Ivo and Tim is unable to track down the woman he fell in love with. Tim leaves Ivo's body on the island and make people on the cruise belive that Ivo left the island alive. Tim and Ivo have a fight on an Island the tour visits and Tim thinks that he killed Ivo when Ivo falls against some rocks. Tim joins Ivo on a subsequent "nature cruise" and they have fight because Ivo threatens to confront the Woman Tim met. While Ivo is away on one lecture cruise, Tim meets a woman in his hotel and allegedly falls in love with her. The story woud have us believe that Tim just wants to sit his house alone obsessing over lost or unobtainable lovers.Įven though Tim is no longer attracted to Ivo (because Ivo told Tim that he loved him), Tim nevertheless agrees to go off to Alaska with Ivo, Ivo is a lecturer/guide on an Alaskan nature cruise. However, Tim does hook up with a shady hustler in the movie who definitely does NOT love Tim and Tim does not appear to be all that happy with that "purely sexual" relationship.
Tim was "ga ga" for Ivo at the beginning of their seemingly "purely sexual" hook-up. While the story makes a big deal about Tim being physically unable to respond to people who declare their love for him, Tim is not really all that happier in relationships that are just about sex. The story in fact appears to want to "impress" upon us that Tim is incapable of responding to anyone who declares their love for him. When Ivo tells Tim that he loves him, Tim is no longer interested in Ivo.
One of those "older boys" becomes a lawyer and ends up providing Tim with legal advise when Tim is accused of killing Ivo.Įverything is hot 'n heavy between Tim and Ivo as long as their "relationship" is only about hot sex. There is a slightly weird reference to Tim being this "self aware" kid in grade school who had a lot of older boys wrapped around his little fingers. Tim is not exactly "gay" although he has, in his words, "always had an open mind toward this kind of stuff". Tim Cornish notices this young male professor (Ivo) at his college and, eventually they hook-up and have marathon gay sex with each other. No Night Is Too Long - a review by Christopher Paige You can go to vindante's page on dailymotion for the other parts of this movie. Both of these two Fossilized Fahkers turn 750 years of age today for the 100th year in a row. btw, Today is Christopher Paige's birthday (and Marion's too). Here is Christopher Paige's description of the plot of the movie. There main character of Tim in this movie (played by Lee Williams) "plays" like it was written for a female but instead, they cast a guy in the role to make the movie a gay movie. This movie is way too English for my tastes. Unfortunately, the lead character in this movie (Tim Cornish, played by Lee Williams) looks like he crossed just over the line from delicate looking hot guy right into beauch domain. You know, there is a fine line between a delicate looking hot guy and a guy who just looks like a beauch. There is an important "plot/twist" in the story about the "relationship" of two of the characters that is very dramatic if you don't know in advance about that relationship (i.e., if you didn't read the book and if the plot twist wasn't blown in some movie review). Actually, the "movie" is a BBC2 television broadcast based on the 1994 novel by British writer Ruth Rendell, written under the name Barbara Vine.
The movie is described as a gay themed mystery/thriller. The user vindante uploaded the movie No Night Is Too Long to dailymotion.
